Speed Mentoring Event Description

On April 10th, WiDS is pleased to invite you to yet another great Professional Development event: speed mentoring! Similar to speed dating, speed mentoring offers you the chance to have direct access and authentic conversations with a selection of high-calibre mentors from various defence and security fields.  Starting at 3 pm, you will have 15-minute sessions with four to six different mentors, both men and women, during which you will be able to ask questions and benefit from their advice and experiences. 

Life has many priorities and we often neglect our own career aspirations and coaching opportunities. Regardless of where you are in your career, these discussions may help you answer burning careeer questions or even provide valuable insight that will help you to take that next step or obtain the necessary skills and competencies to get you where you want to go.

After the event, you are cordially invited to attend Esprit de Corps Magazine's Breaking Down the Barricades reception, which recognizes 2017's Top 20 Women in Defence. The reception will take place in the same venue, from 5-7 pm and will feature live music and a selection of delicacies provided by a number of embassies. The reception is free of charge with your speed mentoring ticket but you must register with Esprit de Corps directly. For information please call 613-725-5060.

3:30 - 4:45 p.m. - Speed Mentoring Sessions

4:45 - 5:00 p.m. - Conclusion and Feedback

5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Esprit de Corp's Breaking Down the Barricades Reception
