On Thursday October 1, 2020 Women in Aerospace Canada (WIA-Canada), Women in Defence & Security (WiDS), and the Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association (ACADA) will host a Virtual Speed Mentoring event as part of ADS Expo Atlantic 2020.

Speed Mentoring provides a tremendous opportunity for individuals – at any stage of their careers – to meet with senior-level men and women across the aerospace, defence, and security industries, in both the public and private sector. During these 15-minute sessions, mentees seek career advice through conversation and Q&A.

This event will be conducted virtually using Zoom, allowing us to reach all of Atlantic Canada. We will pair 1-2 mentees with mentors in private Break Out Rooms. There will be three rotations giving different mentees the opportunity to meet multiple mentors and gain valuable career advice. Between each rotation, all the participants will return to the main Zoom room for short presentations about the benefits of mentoring and sponsor spotlights to allow the event administrators to reassign mentors and mentees to new rooms. Like all our events, this is open to both women and men.
